| Lets start at the beginning. This (the beginning) was good. Great I'd almost say. Caspian's escape from the palace was very well done. It could have used a little back story, but that was a small flaw, "and easily filled in with a little work, or just done without with a little less work," I thought. then we come to hitting his head against the tree branch etc. the animation of the badger was awful! (well, ok, bad.) Especially compared to the first film with the beavers etc. The dwarves (or dwarfs, I for get how Lewis spelled it) were very badly animated. The were much better in the first one (if there were any at all, which I can't seem to remember...)
Now we get to the meat of the film. This will be a very brief summary and if I mention "cg" (Computer Generated [animation] ) you should read it "bad" or something like that.

that sums it up. bad cg distracting from some things that shouldn't be distracted from. not just bad compared to LOTR, or other things like that, but bad compared to the first film! the acting was.. typical. unremarkable. not good, not particularly bad.
the story was... bad. at least, bad in that it was vastly different from the book "the would have been better off if they'd stuck with the original plot!" my dad said. he was right. the plot was just.. ga! for lack of a better word: Lame!
only once or twice did i find myself saying "oh, this is actually pretty good!" or "that's a nice twist on the book's plot!" once. or. twice. that's it. the rest of it was one long roller coaster ride of "this sucks"
i could have given this movie  if not for the last few minutes and the progression of the lame, underdeveloped, misguided in the first place, romance between Caspian and Susan which culminated in a really lame and poorly placed kiss right b4 the Pevancys (sp?) left Narnia. not to mention the song that started playing during it! so there fore:
  and it only gets that for the killer first scene (killer only compared to the rest of the movie) and the mostly good duel between Peter and Miraz. those were the only really good parts of the movie in my opinion. the rest was sort of good at best, to terrible at the worst.
don't see, unless you're with friends and can applaud the good parts (you hands will hardly get the ice knocked off them from this) and laugh at the rest.

| WOW! it's been a while hasn't it!!
well, here's an update for those of you who may not know, my piano playing has advanced to the point where i got a new teacher at the start of the winter semester. he's a college prof at houghton college. i am enjoying my lessons immensely, and feel that my playing has improved exponentially.
other than that, there aren't really ne updates in my life,
there is a girl in Canisteo who's just a little bit krazy about me,
i bought a new cymbal for my drum set, big whoop, i spent too much, but it's amazing!
other than that, my life goes on much as it always has, and will till i move out probably.
and that's just fine with me.

| so.... yeah. i stayed up till 2 last night to finish a book that's not "due" till tomorrow. so.... hi!
i'm kinda tired right now.... cuz i woke up at eight still... yeah.... as i said.... hey!))
but at least it was a good book. it was like a Chick-Flick. the good ones are good, the bad ones are just.....
<shudders>
fortunately, this one was one of the good ones. the author has a nice way of making the characters do normal things, that aren't quite predictable.... so yeah.... good book. i think it was called Twilight but i can't be sure.... i really don't want to findout! lol!
